At CarbonAqua, we believe that the best way to reduce climate impact is by implementing strategies to reduce carbon emissions. However, we do recognise most companies will still have a residual footprint and need to offset it.

How to 'offset' your Carbon Footprint

You can 'offset' your footprint by one of three different strategies. All enable carbon dioxide, to be either taken out of the atmosphere or reduced by another company and/or in another part of the world.

1. Plant a tree. Trees "breathe in" carbon dioxide and "breathe out" oxygen. This process permits the carbon dioxide to
....be captured and is also known as "carbon sequestration"

2. Purchase and 'retire' carbon dioxide credits.

3. Invest or donate to companies/organisations, who are researching and developing renewable and
... sustainable technologies.

4. Donate energy efficient technologies to developing countries.

Any off these carbon offset methods can be used to balance your carbon
footprint
